Terms of service.

1. Appointments & Bookings

All appointments at Skin & Silk Studio are by booking only. Bookings can be made online or via approved booking platforms. By booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Appointments are reserved specifically for you. Please ensure you arrive on time to allow your service to be completed as intended.

2. Deposits

A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking.
Deposits are deducted from the total cost of your service on the day of your appointment.

Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable, including in cases of change of mind, late arrival, or cancellation outside the required notice period.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in loss of deposit

  • Failure to attend your appointment (no-show) will result in forfeiture of your deposit

  • Repeated cancellations or no-shows may require full prepayment for future bookings

4. Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may be shortened or cancelled to avoid impacting other clients.

In the event of cancellation due to lateness:

  • Your deposit will be forfeited

  • Full payment may still apply at our discretion

5. Refunds

Skin & Silk Studio does not offer refunds for completed services.

If you are unhappy with your service, please notify us within 48 hours so we can assess the issue. Where appropriate, we may offer an adjustment or correction appointment. Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction based on personal preference after the service has been completed.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or contraindications prior to their appointment

  • Attend appointments with clean lashes, free of makeup, oils, or residue

  • Follow all aftercare instructions provided

Skin & Silk Studio is not responsible for issues arising from undisclosed conditions or failure to follow aftercare.

7. Lash Health & Aftercare

We prioritise natural lash health. Not all styles are suitable for every client. We reserve the right to modify or refuse a service if it may compromise lash integrity.

Retention and results vary depending on lifestyle, aftercare, and natural lash cycles.

8. Children & Guests

To maintain a calm and professional environment, children and additional guests are not permitted at appointments unless otherwise approved.

9. Right to Refuse Service

Skin & Silk Studio reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour

  • Late arrival beyond allowable limits

  • Failure to disclose relevant health information

  • Non-compliance with these Terms of Service

10. Changes to Terms

Skin & Silk Studio may update these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website or booking platform.

Lash Aftercare Disclaimer

Skin & Silk Studio

Skin & Silk Studio prioritises lash health, quality, and longevity. Results and retention vary between individuals.

1. Aftercare Responsibility

Proper aftercare is essential for optimal retention. By proceeding with a lash service, you acknowledge responsibility for following aftercare instructions provided verbally or in writing.

Failure to follow aftercare may result in:

  • Reduced retention

  • Premature lash loss

  • Irritation or damage

2. Individual Results

Lash retention depends on factors including:

  • Natural lash growth cycles

  • Skin type and oil production

  • Lifestyle, environment, and sleep habits

  • Use of skincare or makeup products

Skin & Silk Studio cannot guarantee retention outcomes.

3. Reactions & Sensitivities

While we use professional products and techniques, allergic reactions or sensitivities can occur. Skin & Silk Studio is not liable for reactions where:

  • Relevant information was not disclosed

  • Aftercare instructions were not followed

Patch tests are recommended for new clients or those with known sensitivities.

4. Liability Limitation

Skin & Silk Studio is not responsible for:

  • Lash loss caused by poor aftercare

  • Issues arising from external products, treatments, or other salons

  • Personal preference dissatisfaction once the service has been completed
